Philippine-based Chefs Jordy Navarra, Chele Gonzales, and Stephan Duhesme were recognized by The Best Chef at its 8th annual awards event, The Best Chef Awards, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 4-6, 2024.

Chef Navarra of Makati’s Toyo Eatery was conferred with Two Knives (World Class) at the ceremony for his world-class status in the culinary scene.

Meanwhile, Chef Gonzales of Taguig’s Gallery by Chele and Chef Duhesme of Makati’s Metiz Restaurant were given One Knife (Excellent) for their excellent culinary skills.

This year’s The Best Chef Awards recognized 550 chefs from 61 countries, with Chefs Rasmus Munk, Albert Adrià, and Eric Vildgaard from Denmark and Spain topping the first, second, and third places, respectively. They were awarded Three Knives (The Best) each for their top-tier culinary mastery.

Also honored with One Knife is Pinay chef Johanne Siy of Singapore-based restaurant Lolla.

Started in 2017, The Best Chef Awards is a ranking focused on chefs that highlights their culinary excellence and artistry across the globe. The Best Chef aims to gather all food lovers from all over the world and educate and inspire the younger generation of chefs.
