His Holiness Pope Francis was rushed to the Agostino Gemelli Hospital on Feb. 14 to be tested for bronchitis and throughout the week, various communities from all over the world have been offering prayers and support for his speedy recovery.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Filipino children’s choir Young Voices of the Philippines sang “A Song of Blessing” as a form of prayer during a concert at the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat in Manila for the recovery of the Pope.

The song was composed by Young Voices of the Philippines music director Jude Roldan.

Back in May 2024, the choir performed the same song in front of Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. The Pope gave their performance a thumbs up and complemented their young voices.

“Thank you very much. You sing good, well. God bless you all,” Pope Francis said to the choir as he was being wheeled back by the ushers.

Pope Francis has been the face of the Catholic church since 2013, when he was elected into papacy during the papal conclave. He took on the name “Francis” to honor St. Francis of Assisi, since his mission was to serve and uplift the poor.

The Pope is the symbol of the Catholic Church and throughout his papacy, he has offered prayers, guidance, and spiritual support to millions of people. Now that he faces a difficult time, it is an opportunity for the faithful to unite in prayer for his healing, strength, and peace.

Just as much as he has selflessly dedicated his life to serving others, we can now show our gratitude and support by lifting him up in our thoughts, prayer, and acts of kindness.

Pope Francis has been showing more signs of recovery as of Thursday, Feb. 27. However, more time is needed to make sure he recovers completely, as well as to determine his medical forecast.
