GoT fans are probably still recovering from the harsh ending that Season 8 gave its viewers, but dry your eyes and chin up; HBO just made a move to adapt another Game of Thrones prequel story into a series. This time it won’t be cut, unlike their first attempt with Naomi Watts that spanned even further down the story, roughly a thousand years back in the plot.

Based on George R.R Martin’s sequence of books, “Fire and Blood” is the novel he dedicated to about the events that happened 300 years back, long before the rise of Daenerys Targaryen.

It will focus on the land of Westeros, and how the House of Targaryen came to be and how it crumbled. Basically we get to see the Targaryen Civil War and the rest of its history.

The rumored show will be named, “House of The Dragon” because at this period, dragons weren’t that unusual to just show up out of the blue.

Miguel Sapochnik, Vince Gerardis, Ryan Condal, and George R.R Martin will team up for the production of the episodes in the upcoming series.

“The Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories. We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel, Ryan and George.” says HBO Programming President Casey Bloys.
