Here are some of the public utility vehicles that are offering free rides for all women.

PITX to Cubao, Quezon City

The Philippine Coast Guard announced on February 29 that their organization will be offering free bus rides to women on select dates.

The free-of-charge bus rides will be offered on March 13 and March 30, from 6 AM to 5 PM. The first free ride was offered on March 6 and female passengers were able to indulge in this discount perk. Women can enjoy free bus rides if they travel from Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) up to Cubao, Quezon City, and vice versa.

Light Rail Transit Authority 2 (LRT-2)

The Light Rail Transit Authority 2 commemorates women this Women’s Month by giving a day-free ride this Women’s Day on March 8.

In a recent announcement on its Facebook page, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) unveiled a special offer for female commuters. During peak hours, from 7 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 7 PM, women can enjoy complimentary rides on the LRT-2 line!

Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3)

Metro Rail Transit Line also celebrates women as they offer free rides for their female passengers on March 8.

Just like in LRT-2, free train rides can be availed of by women during peak hours, from 7 AM to 9 AM and from 5 PM to 7 PM. MRT-3’s free rides for all women were also officially announced through their Facebook page.

The transportation discounts for women in March 2024 are more than just a discount. Salute to all agencies that are continuously supporting women by providing these complimentary services that are a huge help to the community. Happy Women’s Month!
