Comedian Michael V recently revealed that despite all the strict health and safety measures to protect themselves against COVID-19, he still managed to contract the virus. The reason behind this? Most probably the packages delivered straight to his house.
Being extra careful and cautious against the faceless enemy has become the new normal, and it might be better to stay vigilant rather than transmit the virus for improperly following protocols. Going out, it is recommended that a person change their clothes and take a bath immediately once they arrive home. Aside from these, hand-washing is still one of the tried and tested habits to protect one’s self from COVID-19.
But what if they brought along items with them? Some households practice spraying alcohol on each product that came from outside. Just like Michael V, they sanitize every object that enters their home.
These habits can be tedious over time, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. While Philippines hasn’t discovered a more convenient way to disinfect a horde of items in one run, this grocery store in Brazil already has.
“Evolution has arrived, now you can sanitize the cart with all purchases at once,” the caption said in English.
A netizen there can’t help but amaze viewers with this footage of a machine that fumigates grocery items. How it works is, you’re just going to slide your cart into the booth and then wait for a few seconds until the decontamination is done. There is also an available alcohol on the side so you’re as COVID-safe as possible.
Since the new normal has embarked, people have resorted to different methods to stay safe and survive during the outbreak. Props to the creative spirit of Filipinos, it wouldn’t come as a shock when a local version of this apparatus is suddenly built.
