Zamboanga City Marks 92.56% Covid-19 Recovery Rate

The number of recoveries from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this city has increased to 20,350 with the addition of 63 as of November 19.

The Zamboanga Task Force Covid-19 data tracker released on Saturday showed that the 20,350 recovered cases represent 92.56 percent of the 21,985 confirmed cases here.

The data tracker showed that 18,992 or 86.38 percent of the recovered cases were from the community.

The rest were locally stranded individuals, 379; detainees, 319; authorized persons outside residence (APORs), 289; persons deprived of liberty, 214; Bureau of Correction (BuCor) personnel, 67; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) personnel, 61; returning overseas Filipinos, 25; and returning residents from Malaysia, four.

The data tracker indicated that this city has 604 active cases and 1,031 deaths as of November 19.

The data also showed that 597 of the 604 active cases were acquired through community transmission and the rest were detainees, three; APORs, two; BJMP personnel, one; and BuCor personnel, one.

Of the 604 total active cases, 64 percent are asymptomatic; 25.5 percent show mild symptoms; 5.5 percent are severe cases; 4.4 percent are moderate cases; and 0.6 are critical cases. (PNA)
