The local government is adopting an online system to streamline the processing and releasing of permits by City Hall’s various departments.
The move is in line with the local government’s commitment to expand its ease-of-doing business processes, Benjie Barredo, the business permits and licensing office chief, said in a statement Thursday.
Barredo said the improved system seeks to make the business permit applications, both new and for renewal, more efficient.
To assess the system’s readiness, a dry run for the online procedure has been scheduled next week.
“It will be participated by the different departments of the city government,” Barredo said.
Once officially launched, he said the new system will also modernize the issuance of other local government-issued permits.
Meanwhile, Barredo said the city’s Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) is now operating year-round at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar in line with the provisions of Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business Act of 2018.
BOSS operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and will accept all business permit transactions.
BOSS is a streamlined system for business permits registration and renewal which puts all government agencies involved in the renewal and registration of all kinds of business permits and licenses in one venue. (PNA)
