The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE), will upgrade medical facilities in Lanao del Sur province.
In a statement on Thursday, Lanao del Sur’s provincial government said the construction of the medical facilities would begin in the first quarter of 2025 as part of the continuation of the Development for Renewable Energy Applications Mainstreaming and Market Sustainability (Dreams) Project.
Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr. has consistently collaborated with UNDP Philippines on various development programs and projects in the areas of women, peace and security, and renewable energy.
In addition to the Dreams Project, Adiong also worked with the Marawi City rehabilitation, economic recovery, and institutional development.
“The members of the Dreams Core Group of the Lanao del Sur provincial government met earlier this morning (Thursday) at the Provincial Engineer’s Office conference room,” the statement said.
The DOE is implementing the five-year project through its Renewable Energy Management Bureau in partnership with the Global Environment Facility and UNDP.
The project assists local government units and other qualified stakeholders in promoting and increasing renewable energy investments at the local level. (PNA)
