Not just one, but three medals were given to the Philippine team once again as three Pinoy cheerleading groups bagged gold and silver medals.

On October 8, the International Cheer Union announced its winners in different categories as the competition in South Korea recently adjourned.

The categories during the Cheer Dance World Cup include different genres such as youth hip hop, youth pom, and junior pom.

Showing off the skill of Filipinos when it comes to cheer dancing, three Pinoy groups were able to get three medals during the competition: two golds and one silver.

The winning Filipino teams were UP Streetdance Club and Southies, who won the gold medals for the Coed Elite division and hip-hop division, and the School of Saint Anthony, who gained a silver medal for the junior hip-hop category.

“There will be times that you will doubt yourself, but with your faith in Him, everything is possible. Pilipinas, we are your International Cheer Union Senior Coed Elite World Cup Champion,” the Southies said on their Facebook page.

With this recent win that was incredibly done by the Philippine team, the country was able to rank third highest in the number of medals out of the countries competing for the final medal table tally.
