The unparalleled dedication and sacrifices of our frontline workers to serve the country during the COVID-19 outbreak are something that Filipinos see as a beacon of hope and something Filipinos admire and appreciate.

Their heroic acts have inspired Filipinos to help in any way they can in fighting the COVID-19.

One of them, a Taho street vendor known as ‘Mang Boyong’, who decided who instead of spending his time inside his home during the prescribed quarantine period, has decided to give out free taho to checkpoint personnel.

This inspiring act has been captured by Hannibal Talete and eventually shared on social media. The post has received positive feedbacks and has been shared on Facebook more than 6,000 times (as of press).

According to Hannibal’s post, the Mang Boyong has been selling taho for 27 years and has decided to give out free taho among frontliners because he understands the difficulties that they are facing in manning the boundary checkpoint.
