The far-flung and conflict-affected village of Calamba in Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte, is a recipient of a P20 million newly-completed level II water system from the provincial government.
In a statement Wednesday, Cabadbaran Mayor Judy Amante said village residents have long been facing the scarcity of drinking water.
“This project was materialized through the efforts of the barangay officials with the support of the city and provincial government,” she said.
On Tuesday, the mayor, together with Agusan del Norte Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante, led the turnover of the water system project to the village officials.
The project, powered by a solar submersible pump, will benefit more than 100 households. (PNA)
