Over the weekend, the launch of the much-awaited McDonald’s BTS Limited Edition Meal has pushed fans to fall in line and others to tap on food delivery apps to get the signature meal of their favorite endorser Bangtan Boys.
It was released on June 18, Friday, ARMY fandoms have sparked frenzied excitement in purchasing the product and taken extra creativity and effort to preserve the meal’s packaging.
The new McDonald’s collaboration with K-pop superstars BTS with its signature meal deals consists of 10pc Chicken McNuggets, Medium Fries, Medium Coke, and two of the band’s handpicked dipping sauces– Sweet Chili and Cajun– are closely inspired from McDonald in South Korea.
The BTS Meal comes with one set of special packaging for their Chicken McNuggets, Beverage Cup, Sauces, and Take-out Bag.
Since consumers can only purchase a maximum of 5 orders from the front counter, take-out, drive-thru, and even delivery the result stretched an influx of customers wanting to avail themselves of the BTS Meals.
The #BTSMealPH and #BTSMeal have become the official hashtags for fans. Topping the most viral posts of Filipino Armies who turned the meal packaging into personalized memorabilia has also drawn attention to the public.
