Welcoming another year, Filipina professional tennis player Alexandra Eala received a wonderful blessing as she was declared to have a rank-up in the overall tennis rankings for the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

New year, new ranking! The WTA has finally disclosed the newest ranking of its registered tennis players from all across the world, and this includes Pinay athlete Eala.

Rising five spots, the athlete claimed the 185th position in the ranking, coming from the 190th rank before her recent competitions.

During her career, Eala was able to participate in over 24 tournaments across the world and has a current total of 416 points from these competitions.

This milestone was not only an achievement for her but also for the country, as she was the only Filipina athlete included in the said rankings, besting other nationalities and athletes.

At the age of 18, Eala became a huge name in the Philippines and other parts of the world because of her tennis skills. To cite, the Filipina athlete won the Australian Open Girls’ Doubles in 2020 and the French Open Girls’ Doubles in 2021.
