North Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamco has completed her 14-day self-quarantine, during which she tested negative from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Catamco said she received the official information from the Department of Health, saying her laboratory test for Covid-19 turned out negative.

“My appreciation for all of you who prayed for me helped me and supported me throughout my quarantine period. Let’s not forget to the same to others who are undergoing quarantine and medication for Covid-19,” Catamco said in a statement.

Catamco has been in house quarantine for the past few days following President Rodrigo Duterte’s 14-day quarantine mandate for those who had recently traveled to Metro Manila.

She quickly submitted herself for testing two weeks ago after her meeting with Senator Sherwin Gatchalian and Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade on her continuing effort for the opening of the mothballed Central Mindanao Airport in M’lang, North Cotabato.

Both Gatchalian and Tugade also earlier went on self-quarantine after exposing themselves to separate persons who contracted Covid-19. (PNA)
