The National Capital Region (NCR), the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and most regions in Luzon have registered the highest number of fully vaccinated and boosted individuals against the coronavirus, a health official said Tuesday.

Data from the Department of Health (DOH) National Covid-19 Vaccination Dashboard on March 30 showed that a total of 23,613,578 doses have been administered in the NCR while 2,068,901 doses were given in the CAR.

“Habang nananatili nasa pinakamababa ang Region 12 at BARMM [Bangsamoro Administrative Region in Muslim Mindanao] patuloy po ang DOH sa paglulunsad ng special vaccination days para mapataas pa natin ang (Vaccination coverage remains very low in Region 12 (Soccsksargen) and the BARMM) vaccination rate,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in an online media forum.

Some 6,085,003 doses have been administered in Region 1; Region 2, 4,081,917; Region 3, 14,413,591; Calabarzon, 17,333,665; Mimaropa, 2,642,139; and Bicol Region, 5,059,314.

The BARMM has administered 1,467,157 doses while Region 12 has 3,823,094.

As of April 11, more than 66.7 million Filipinos are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 while 71.9 million have received their first dose.

Vergeire urged the 47.8 million eligible individuals to join the 12.5 million fully vaccinated who have received their booster shots.

About 1.3 million are fully vaccinated among the pediatric population while 9 million adolescents have completed their primary series doses. (PNA)
