The northeast monsoon and the low-pressure area (LPA) will bring scattered rain showers in most parts of the country on Monday.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Atmospheric Services Administration (PAGASA) said the northeast monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was last observed at 150 kilometers west southwest of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. It will bring scattered rain showers over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Visayas and the provinces of Basilan and Tawi-Tawi.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-33 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 24-31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 24-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
