Residents of a village in Lanao del Sur now have access to safe water following the turnover of a water system project in their village.
In a news release Tuesday, the Office of Bangsamoro Member of Parliament (MP) Diamila Disimban-Ramos together with the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao said the water system in Barangay Buadi Amaloy, Masiu, Lanao del was turned over last May 14.
It was designed to allocate water supply to the community, especially those who would pray in the Grand Mosque Jamaah where it is located.
It is funded under the 2020 Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) of Ramos.
“In response to your request, I am grateful for the opportunity to identify this Municipality as a recipient of this Water System Project dahil alam ko pong malaki ang maitutulong nito sa komunidad ninyo (because I know that this will be of great help to your community), especially in terms of cleanliness. This project will ensure that over a period of time, the community of Brgy. Buadi Amaloy will have access to a potable supply of water to address the water security,” said Ramos in her turnover speech delivered by Nor Mohammad Makil.
The PHP2.9-million water system project features a solar-powered concrete water tank with a tap stand.
Ramos said water serves as one of the basic necessities and is vital not just to our health but to our well-being.
“My commendations to our partner agency, the Ministry of Public Works, and also to Noreen Constructions for their perseverance to finish the project. I know its completion was not easy and Alhamdulillah! With the grace of Allah (SWT), it now benefits the entire community of Barangay Buadi Amaloy,” she said.
“I am always grateful also to our BARMM Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim, especially to our President Rodrigo Duterte, for the realization of this project will not be possible if not for them. The BARMM government is consistent in its initiatives in providing public services to the Bangsamoro with the legitimate intention of effectively corresponding to the significant needs of the people,” she added.
In his acceptance message, former Masiu Vice Mayor Hadji Usman Orangaga conveyed his gratitude to Ramos.
“May Allah (SWT) reward you greatly for this initiative and because of this, we now have easy access to water. We assure you that we will take care of it so that many people will benefit from it,” Orangaga added.
“This project and the other projects of the BARMM government are all blessings from Allah (SWT). We are very grateful that we became the means to bridge projects and programs to the Bangsamoro people, especially those who belong to the vulnerable sectors. Help us in asking Allah (SWT) to grant us strength so that we may continuously do what is mandated to us and serve the best interest of our beloved Bangsamoro”, said Deputy Chief Minister Aleem Ali Solaiman, as he shared his message of support to Ramos and the BARMM government.
Meanwhile, MPW-Lanao del Sur Assistant District Engineer Abdul Jalil Bansao reiterated the consequential benefits of the initiatives of the BARMM government.
“Malaki ang pasasalamat namin kay MP Ramos at sa BARMM government dahil itong proyektong ito ay isang ehemplo na ang pondo ng kanilang TDIF ay talagang nagagamit sa mga proyektong naaayon sa mga pangangailangan ng mga komunidad (We are very thankful to MP Ramos and the BARMM government for this project is a manifestation that their TDIF are being utilized according to the needs of the community),” he added.
Representing MP Basit “Jannati Mimbantas” Abbas, his chief of staff Alonto Mimbantas Gubar revered the efforts and contribution of MP Ramos for the people of Masiu.
“Pinasasalamatan namin si MP Ramos at ang kanyang opisina dahil sa matagumpay na pagpapatayo ng solar powered water system na nagbibigay ng patubig sa mga tao na makakatulong sa kanilang pang araw-araw na pamumuhay (Our sincere gratitude to MP Ramos for successfully building a Solar Powered Water System that will greatly help the entire community in their daily lives),” Gubar said.
Representing Noreen Construction, Mujahid Al-Hussein Disimban thanked all the stakeholders for the success of the project.
“We are very thankful to MP Ramos, MPW, and the BARMM government for putting their trust in us in completing this project. We are also thankful to the people of Barangay Buadi Amaloy for their support and patience which helped us in successfully building the project,” Disimban said. (PNA)
