Planning an outfit for a rainy day while you are living in a tropical country like the Philippines is a bit of a hassle due to the unpredictable weather that our country has. So, you’re looking for inspiration or a guide on what to wear during the rainy days?
Don’t worry because Kathryn Bernardo shared some tips about some clothing pieces that you need to have to look more fashionable even on a rainy day.
In her latest video, the 25-year-old actress confessed how much she loves fashion, but like some of you, there are days that she does not have any idea what to wear.
“Wearing the right outfit for you can either make you feel worse or better. For me, I really want to keep my outfits very comfortable but at the same time versatile without having to compromise style,” said Kathryn on how she planned and chose her outfit.
With the help of her stylist, Jan Aranilla, these are five outfits that they prepared that you can try:
LOOK NO. 1: Mock neck top + Loose Trousers
The first outfit is a sleeveless mock neck top partnered with loose trousers. She said that this outfit perfectly fits if there are days that you feel chilly. You can add a jacket or cardigan on top of that to make it look better.
Her stylist gave her a tip about investing in mock necks or turtlenecks tops because you can use them when you are traveling, on a rainy day, and on other occasions or events.
LOOK NO. 2: Preppy and Sporty
This outfit is for those ladies whose fashion style is more on feminine side.
A white tennis skirt with any black shirt or polo shirt can look preppy and sporty at the same time. She paired the outfit with a silver sneaker to achieve that sporty look.
“I like to pair this cute outfit with a loose sweater or a loose hoodie,” she said.
TIP: If you are getting a hoodie, get one size bigger than your normal size.
She reminded me that it’s okay to repeat the outfit, no need to be ashamed of that. You really just have to invest in the right pieces

LOOK NO.3: 90’s Inspired Look
The third outfit is more casual than other outfits that she prepared.
This is Kathryn’s go-to outfit and mostly, you can see her with this kind of outfit.
“It’s very classic. So, I like incorporating the 90’s and 80’s with my style,” she said.
To achieve this look, you just need a sleeveless or tank top and paired it up with square-cut jeans in a color light wash.
For Kathryn, this outfit is casual, very comfortable, and you can wear it any time of the day.
You don’t have to worry if it rains because you paired it with boxy button-down polo. For her, having these pieces is a good investment because it goes well with anything.
LOOK NO. 4: The Brunch Look
If you are going outside to eat lunch with friends or someone special then you can try this outfit.
Kathryn called this look “The Brunch Look”. You just need a form-fitting dress and then pair it with “mandals” to form a balance with your outfit.
This outfit is a mix of being classy because of the dress yet cute because of the shoes that she’s wearing.
LOOK NO. 5: The Night-Out Outfit
For the last outfit, The Night-Out Outfit.
She wears a silk silver-fit dress with a very classy back design and paired it with a sneaker.
This outfit is a smart casual outfit that you can wear if you want to go clubbing or maybe on a dinner date.
If you like to be edgy, you just have to add a leather jacket to your outfit.
TIP: Invest in a leather jacket because it is one of the classic pieces that your closet should have.
