The world was left stunned after news broke that “Glee” actress Naya Rivera vanished at a lake in Southern California on Wednesday.

Authorities presume that the breakout star drowned. She was last seen on a Lake Piru dock with her 4-year-old son. Rivera’s child was found sleeping by himself in the pontoon boat they rented, wearing a life vest. Another life vest was found lying around upon the discovery.

According to the child, they went for a swim but his mother never returned.

Officials have since turned the search into a “recovery operation”, which includes dive teams, drones, and helicopters.

Hopes and prayers for the actress’ reappearance rose, especially from her co-stars “Glee”.

Rivera, 33, is known for her role as the cold-hearted cheerleader named Santana Lopez in “Glee”. The musical series went on for six seasons and ended on March 20, 2015.
