Having a pet at home brings so much happiness. Who can resist their adorable, tiny faces, kisses, and licks, as well as the way they greet us with enthusiastic jumps every time we get home? Pet ownership and care can be enjoyable, but it also comes with significant obligations, which every fur parent (including aspiring ones!) should be aware of.
Considering this, Malayan Insurance Company Inc. held a webinar on giving your dogs the finest protection possible: FURfect love protection.
Understanding your pet’s needs, from a veterinarian’s point of view.
Dr. Norbert “Obet” Robles, a veterinarian and the founder of Petlink Veterinary PH, opened the webinar by encouraging viewers to see your trusted veterinarians as often as possible. He emphasized the importance of providing your dogs with the basics they need, as well as seeking the advice of your trusted vets on their health.
In addition, he said that “A healthy pet is always a decision that your veterinarian can give to you.” He stated that the only option you should have is to consult veterinarians so that the underlying illnesses of your pets may be treated right away. Robles pointed out, “Always trust your veterinarians because vets know what’s best for our pets.”
Always check your dogs!
He also highlighted that as pet owners, you should monitor whether your dogs’ appetites, activity levels, or overall well-being has changed, as this may be a symptom of a growing or underlying disease.
Robles also mentioned several diseases and symptoms that your dogs may experience. According to him, if your dogs are lethargic or less active, exhibit vomiting, diarrhea, pale gums, or have fluids coming out of their nose, they should be sent to the veterinarian right away for proper diagnosis and treatment.
