Even if you don’t want to go outside because of the pandemic, you can still get into the Halloween vibe with this spooky tour of Manila’s most haunted spots on October 30, and see what some of Manila’s most renowned landmarks have to do with their dark pasts.

In 2020, WanderManila, a tour and experiential company hosted an online Halloween tour called “One night in Intramuros.”

For this year’s Halloween, WanderManila is introducing “One night in Manila,” another virtual tour, which will take place this coming Halloween. It will uncover the darker history of Manila’s most prominent locations and monuments.

Even Luneta has a dark past. In reality, the site that is today known as Rizal Park was the site of the execution of countless Filipinos. Even though these martyrs aren’t as well-known as Rizal or GomBurZa, they shed their blood there.

A number of other locations are said to be “haunted,” and it goes without saying that the history of Manila has been scarred by blood and death, which continues to pique people’s interest and create a sense of terror.

As with last year’s virtual Halloween tour of Intramuros, which was streamed live on WanderManila’s Facebook page, WanderManila said this year’s tour will focus on history rather than scare tactics.

Moreso, there is no registration required for this free event. Simply visit WanderManila’s Facebook page at 9 p.m. on Oct. 30 and enjoy!
