Since the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on March 14, 2020, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has been packed with projects to help ease the lives of the citizens affected, particularly the frontliners.
A few of the notable contributions the agency has done so far are the services allocated for the health workers since transportation is suspended during the period, as well as the distribution of essentials to different hospitals.
In summary, here are the following efforts by the DOTr:
1. Emergency Operations Center (EOC) hotline
DOTr launched EOC March 19 for better communication in terms of ECQ-related transport queries. As of April 4, the hotline was able to respond to 1,523 calls, while the DOTr Facebook Page has responded to 4,570 concerns.
