The city government continues to provide relief assistance to 203 families affected by the fire in Barangay 2-A on Sunday.

In a Facebook post on Monday, the city government said the City Social Welfare and Development Office gave psychological first aid to the affected families and has deployed its mobile kitchen.

The evacuation site, where hot meals are served, has modular tents for the residents affected by the fire.

In an initial report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Davao City Fire District, two persons died, one was injured, and 150 houses were destroyed in the blaze.

Authorities said the fatalities were two male cousins, aged 11 and 14 years old. Their bodies were found inside the restroom of their house.

Damage to properties was pegged at PHP2.25 million.

Meanwhile, the Office of 1st Congressional District Rep. Paolo Duterte, represented by his son, Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, distributed food packs, bottled water, and hot porridge to the fire victims at the evacuation area.

“We will continue to assist in the coming days,” Duterte said.
