The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday advised voter registrants to take note of the scheduled disinfection days of offices of election officers (OEOs) in four regions, including Metro Manila.

In a Facebook post, the poll body said the disinfection activities in these areas are done every Friday and Saturday.

“Some OEOs are closed on scheduled disinfection days,” it said.

In the National Capital Region, disinfection in OEOs in Mandaluyong City, City of Manila, 1st to 6th District; Makati City; Muntinlupa City, and Quezon City, 1st to 6th District would be every Friday.

Meanwhile, OEOs in the cities of Pasig City, 1st and 2nd District; Las Piñas; Pasay, 1st and 2nd District; Taguig; Valenzuela, 1st and 2nd District and Caloocan, 1st, and 2nd District would be done every Saturday.

In Region 3, the disinfection of OEOs in Hermosa, Bataan; San Antonio, San Narciso, and Candelaria in Zambales is every Friday as well as Banga, Aklan, and Manapla Negros Occidental in Region 6.

For Julita and Villav in Leyte, and Maasin City, Southern Leyte in Region VIII, the disinfection would be done every Friday and Saturday, respectively.

“This list will be continuously updated as the need arises,” the Comelec said.

The nationwide voter registration except in areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) or modified ECQ has started early this month.

The public may file their applications at the OEOs in cities or municipalities they would like to be registered as voters.

Applications are accepted every Tuesdays to Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (PNA)
