Birkenstock opened its first new store concept in the country at the Megaworld Lucky Chinatown Mall Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Carlo Cecilio, brand manager of Philgear Int’l Inc., stated of the new retail concept, “We are excited to open our first new retail concept in the Philippines with a completely different look and feel, but still unmistakably Birkenstock.”
The 40-square-meter retail space, which features numerous new styles, colors, and patterns that were first seen in-store, was unveiled by the footwear manufacturer. The store’s decor is based on Birkenstock’s basic materials of cork, leather, and jute to give tribute to its product.
In conjunction with the inauguration of the new store, two new Birkenstock Lucky Chinatown exclusives were also released. The first is a boho-style celebration of ethnic patterns called “Birko Flor Ethno Mocha.” It’s one of the first vegan products to hit the market. The “Taormina Oiled Leather,” which looks similar to Birkenstock’s Mayari sandal but has a slim black strap for extra protection, is also marketed.
