During these trying times, Filipinos refuse to let the shortcomings brought by the COVID-19 pandemic get in their way. In spite of the crisis, they have resolved to different methods to keep their source of living afloat. A few of the most famous products during this time are face masks, homemade meals, and baked goods.

We’re talking about Sinulog Festival Queen 2020 Monika Afable, who was seen roaming around the town to sell “siakoy”—the Filipino version of a twisted, sugarcoated donut.

According to a source, Afable decided to do this so she can have more means during the crisis. This photo of her posing with her products created a buzz since it went to social media.
