It’s only the 4th day, but it’s already safe to say that December is a month to rejoice for Alanis Morisette fans. Not only did the 90’s rockstar dropped new music from her upcoming album — 8 years since the last one — but she also announced a Jagged Little Pill 25th anniversary tour!
The 31-stop tour around North America will start in Portland, Oregon on June 2, 2020. Though shows are limited in the said continent, we’re still hoping that she stops by here in the Philippines.
The award-winning Jagged Little Pill album debuted in 1995. It garnered nine Grammy nominations, and bagged five awards including Album of the Year. This made Alanis Morisette the youngest artist in history to win the award until Taylor Swift’s Fearless.
Jagged Little Pill consists of iconic 90’s anthems like “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.”
Moreover, this week also marks the debut of the Jagged Little Pill Broadway musical. The show draws inspiration from the music of the iconic abum. It will revolve around “modern and multi-generational family and their complex dynamics, touching on issues of gender identity and race.”
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated album, Such Pretty Forks in the Road is set to be released on May 1, 2020.
