Filipino audiences no longer have to wait for global trends to reach the Philippines. What happens on a runway in Milan or Paris can appear on a smartphone in Manila within seconds.

For PAGEONE Media, that changes the job of media.

As it mounts on-the-ground coverage of Milan and Paris Fashion Week for the Women’s Spring/Summer 2027 season, the Philippine digital media network says its objective is not simply to tell audiences what happened on the runway. It wants to help explain what those developments mean for Filipino audiences.

Filipino casting industry professional Arne Gershwin Gogo will serve as PAGEONE Media’s fashion correspondent across Milan Fashion Week from September 22 to 28 and Paris Fashion Week from September 28 to October 6.

Working with Gogo are Manila-based editors Khirby Serrano and Gen Asas, who will turn reports, images and observations from Europe into stories, commentary and digital content across PAGEONE Media’s platforms.

For Vonj Tingson, President of PAGEONE Media, the abundance of information already available from major global events makes interpretation increasingly important.

“Our audiences don’t need us to repeat what they can already see on their feeds,” Tingson said. “Our job is to help them understand what matters, what is changing and why something happening thousands of kilometers away could be relevant to them.”

That means looking beyond conventional runway recaps.

Fashion Week today sits at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, luxury, technology, branding, sustainability, celebrity culture and the creator economy. Developments in Milan and Paris can influence aesthetics, consumer behavior, retail, marketing and popular culture far beyond Europe.

PAGEONE Media’s coverage will examine those developments through a Filipino and Southeast Asian lens, including trends that could travel to the region, the growing visibility of Asian creatives and cultural influences, and what shifts in global fashion could mean for Philippine designers, brands, retailers, creators and consumers.

Gogo’s professional experience in the casting industry will also allow PAGEONE Media to examine aspects of Fashion Week that audiences may not ordinarily see, including casting, staging, collection presentation and the broader industry conversations taking place around the official shows.

“Being on the ground allows us to see more than the finished images that eventually circulate online,” Tingson said. “There are conversations, personalities, ideas and cultural signals developing around these events. Our responsibility is to identify which of those matter to our audiences and give them context.”

The Milan and Paris assignment continues PAGEONE Media’s growing international coverage, which has previously included Cannes, as the network expands its presence at major global events.

But Tingson said the objective is not international presence for its own sake.

“We are not trying to become another international fashion publication,” he said. “We are a Philippine media organization, and that is precisely the perspective we should bring with us. We want Filipino audiences to see themselves not simply as spectators of global culture, but as participants in it.”

PAGEONE Media’s Milan-to-Paris coverage will therefore follow more than what appears on the runway. It will look at the ideas, people and industry shifts surrounding it and ask what they could mean back home.

“When the world is talking, there should be a Filipino perspective in that conversation,” Tingson said. “That is the space we want PAGEONE Media to occupy.”
