Aspiring and current Iskolars ng bayan can now join the state university’s learning system and enhance their skills for free with the University of the Philippine’s 44 new online courses.
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) has launched its free, self-paced and open program for each month starting January with a focus on climate and disaster resilience.
The program also features courses and topics such as “Identifying Red Flags”, “What Makes an Entrepreneur?”, “Artificial Intelligence”, “Gender Sensitivity”, and more.
UPOU’s massive open distance eLearning (MODel) aims to fuel the educational growth of the Filipinos with skills for the evolving 21st century and provide e-certificates that are valid for resume credentials.
Interested learners can self-enroll via UPOU’s website: https://model.upou.edu.ph/. In their Facebook announcement, the university notes a weekly cut-off every Wednesday at 4PM.
More free MODel courses are also expected to be launched as the university plans to expand its online learning program.
