A total of 110,460 doses of various coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine brands arrived at the Davao International Airport via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 957 Saturday morning.

In an official Facebook page post, the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-11) said up to 9,360 doses of Pfizer BioNtech Comirnaty, 1,100 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca, and 100,000 Sinovac CoronaVac vaccines arrived which were immediately brought to their storage facility.

On September 16, some 51,480 doses of the Pfizer vaccine also arrived at the Davao International Airport.

To date, Davao Region has received a total of 2,740,080 doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines.

As to the efficacy of the vaccines, DOH-11 said 99.82 percent of total doses administered had no untoward reactions.

“Only 0.18 percent of total vaccine doses administered have untoward reactions to recipients. Most are mild only and resolve spontaneously,” it added.

It also urged everyone to enroll in their respective local government units for them to get their vaccination schedule. (PNA)
