As Netflix hits almost 200M Global Subscribers during the pandemic, the company will soon end its free 30-day access in the US earlier in October.

“Free trials are not available, but you can still sign up and take advantage of all Netflix has to offer. There are no contracts, no cancellation fees, and no commitments. You have the freedom to change your plan or cancel online at any time if you decide Netflix isn’t for you,” Netflix posted on their website.

In the Philippines, Netflix free trial users are no longer seeing the free option on their homepage. Another option button would ask users to create or restart their subscription.

Despite the disconnection of the free subscription, Netflix offers other ways to their users to enjoy without a membership via the Netflix Watch Free site. Other offers like the hit movie “Bird Box”, “Murder Mystery”, “The Two Popes” and pilot episodes of “Stranger Things”, “Love is Blind,” “Elite,” and “When They See Us” are one of the few things to watch as well as some Netflix documentaries and TV titles which can still be watched on YouTube.

Remember Netflix is not the only one who ended its free-trial. Disney Plus also ended its seven-day free-trial in June just before the premiere of Disney’s multi-award-winning musical “Hamilton.”

However, big streaming platforms such as WarnerMedia’s HBO Max, NBCUniversal’s Peacock, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Shudder, Sundance Now, CBS All Access, Acorn TV, and the newcomer Quibi continue to offer their 30-day free trial.
