Inigo Pascual believes that love comes in the right place, in the right time in his freshly released single “Balang Araw,” produced under Star Music.

“We all hope for that one person who will spend their future and life with us. We spend our days waiting, hoping, and searching for that person,” he explained.

The multi-talented artist, who shared on Twitter that the song means so much to him, added that “Balang Araw” is all about hope and trust. “Simply trust the process and trust your heart and know that one day that person will come. Balang araw (someday).”

Its music video, which he directed with the help of his driver and shot in his house, premiered on Monday (June 8).

Inigo wrote the lyrics and music of “Balang Araw,” which was produced by Kidwolf and ABS-CBN Music’s creative director Jonathan Manalo. It follows his 2018 birthday single “Lumang Tugtugin,” as well as his international collaborations in 2019 with Australia’s top vlogger Wengie for “Mr. Nice Guy” and “Adios” with Singaporean urban artist Akasha.

The optimistic track was immediately well-received by listeners, including the Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid who shared on Instagram how much she loved the song.

“So [I’ve] been listening to a lot of OPM songs and I just love it. Here’s one that I’ve been playing over and over. #BalangAraw by @inigopascual,” she wrote.

Inigo couldn’t help but gush over the Songbird’s positive response, so he replied through a tweet attached with a screenshot of her IG post. “’Yung pangarap mo lang dati na marinig ng mga idol mo na singer ‘yung kanta mo (When you used to just dream about the singers you admire to listen to your song)… Thank you Miss Regine!” he said.

Fans were also drawn to the upbeat but sentimental track. “Sobrang ganda! Love the arrangement, ganda nung bridge with just his beautiful voice, kaka-LSS (Awesome! Love the arrangement, the bridge is so beautiful with just his beautiful voice, LSS),” Jay Oppie commented on the song’s lyric video on YouTube.

“A really, really beautiful song. There is love and pain but full of hope,” Jennifer Estrada pointed out.

Aside from his latest local release, Inigo just launched his international single “Should Be Me,” under Tarsier Records, last month. He also nabbed two nominations in the MYX Awards 2020—Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Options.”

Have faith that there is reward in waiting and listen to Inigo’s “Balang Araw” in ABS-CBN Star Music’s YouTube channel and on various music streaming platforms. For updates, like Star Music on Facebook and follow it on Twitter and Instagram (@StarMusicPH).
