President Rodrigo Duterte attended the wedding of Senator Ronald dela Rosa’s daughter, Marianne Kristel dela Rosa, in Baguio City.

Marianne Kristel married 1Lt. James Benneth Estoesta at St. Ignatius Chapel inside the Philippine Military Academy in Fort de Pilar, Baguio City.

The President, as well as his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, stood as principal sponsors at the wedding.

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, who also graced the event, shared several photos of Duterte and other guests.

Senators Francis Tolentino, Imee Marcos, and Cynthia Villar were also present during the wedding ceremony.

Go and Tolentino, in separate Facebook posts, congratulated the newly-married couple.

Go said the President also sends his best wishes to Marianne Kristel and Estoesta.

“Best wishes po sa bagong kasal. Hangad po nina Tatay Digong at Kuya Bong ang inyong kaligayahan (Best wishes to the newlyweds. President Digong and Senator Bong hope for your happiness),” the statement posted on Go’s Facebook account read.

In October, dela Rosa admitted that he dreaded his daughter’s wedding.

The former police chief said he was afraid of letting go of his “executive assistant, nurse, caregiver, wardrobe consultant, security, and over protective daughter.”

“I don’t know how to deal with it and I refuse to think about it that you’re getting married this December. Butterfly kisses for you my lucky charm,” the senator said in October. (PNA)
