Four police officers who earlier tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) have already recovered, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Friday.

In a media statement, NCRPO chief, Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas, said these police officers have fully recovered from the disease after testing negative from two consecutive CoViD 19 PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests.

To date, the NCRPO has nine Covid-19 patients with no deaths.

The latest addition to recovery cases was NCRPO Patient 3, who was confined at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for more than two weeks.

Despite leaving the RITM on Thursday, Sinas said Patient 3 would undergo health security protocols including a 14-day quarantine while taking his medication.

“We can’t be any happier to see him back. His experience is a clear manifestation that the good Lord blesses his cops in the frontlines and strengthens us amidst this crisis,” Sinas said.

Sinas assured that the NCRPO is strictly implementing precautionary measures against the spread of the disease.

“This is our duty and we will carry on the task. So please, stay home to prevent the virus from spreading further,” Sinas said.
