Do you have clutter around your house? Are you irritated or uneasy when your surroundings are messy? If you are, Netflix’s new show Tidying up with Marie Kondo might just give you the solution (or motivation) to clean things up.
In an age where influence plays a big role in how we live & consumerism is at an all-time high, Marie Kondo enters the picture with her simple yet life-changing philosophy of only keeping things that spark joy. The author of the best-selling book is now Netflix’s new heroine, in a show where she revamps people’s homes and teaches “KonMari”, a method of cleaning up the house.
The method has very detailed steps (not to be spoiled by this article!) and it may be hard to grasp at first, but in true KonMari fashion, here is an organized list of things you’ll learn from the series:
1. Organizing is a way to self-improvement.
There’s a reason why a lot of people clean their rooms at the beginning of the year. There is something so symbolic about tidying things up! It’s a change in your surroundings and your belongings, so it also reflects a change in you.
