Selena Gomez is collaborating with her mother, Mandy Teefey, on a new mental health platform called Wondermind, which she will debut this week with Daniella Pierson.

The website provides people with access to helpful content as well as a friendly network for persons dealing with mental health concerns.

“We’ve each had our own mental health struggles, and we realized there was no inclusive, fun, and easy place where people could come together to explore, discuss, and navigate their feelings. So we created it. Welcome to Wondermind,” read on its website.

The site notes that counseling is vital and beneficial, but compares Wondermind to going to the gym between personal training sessions, with the exception of your mind.

“Mental fitness is a daily commitment. The more you practice, the better you feel—just like working out. We’re giving you easy ways to do it via daily content,” it explains.

In a promotional video about the Wondermind, Gomez says, “I want there to be a place of people coming together and understanding that they’re not alone.”

“Being vulnerable and seeking help is one of the most terrifying things in the world. It requires much courage and bravery,” Gomez added.

All three women shared their own mental health struggles, Teefey said she was misdiagnosed before learning she had ADHD, while Pierson said she had had OCD her entire life.

Gomez also shared that she understands what it is like to be confused and not really understand feelings and emotions and where does it come from.

“I live with bipolar—I don’t suffer from it anymore. I’m really happy and proud of the progress I have made,” Gomez admitted.

The site’s content will range from journaling exercises to public conversation and even a mental health podcast. Visit https://www.wondermind.com/ for more information.
