The nation’s overall tally of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patients who have beaten the disease have reached 1,618,808 as 10,674 new recoveries were recorded on Monday.

The Department of Health (DOH) said the figure is equivalent to a 92.2-percent recovery rate from a total of 1,755,846 infections since the start of the pandemic last year.

The DOH also tallied 14,610 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 106,672 or 6.1 percent of all cases.

Of the active cases, 96.1 percent are mild, 0.9 percent are asymptomatic, 1.3 percent are severe, 0.89 percent are moderate, and 0.7 percent are in critical condition.

Also logged were 27 new fatalities, raising the death toll to 30,366 or 1.73 percent of the total cases.

The DOH said 380 duplicates were removed from the total case count as 369 of those were recoveries and one death.

Meanwhile, three cases previously tagged as recoveries have been validated to be active cases, and 22 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.

According to DOH data on Aug. 14, about 23 percent of 58,471 who were tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

All laboratories were operational on Aug. 14 while seven laboratories were not able to submit their data to the Covid-19 Document Repository System.

Based on data in the last 14 days, the seven non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 1.5 percent of samples tested and 1.6 percent of positive individuals.
