The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) has disbursed PHP33.4 million to 10,752 beneficiaries in crisis from June 30 to July 2, the agency said Wednesday.

DSWD-11 said it conducted the massive payout under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program in various provinces of the region during the period.

In this city, the DSWD-11 said it will release PHP3 million to 3,000 target beneficiaries AICS beneficiaries this Wednesday.

The agency said various sectors benefit from their sequence of AICS payouts that include solo parents, tricycle drivers, persons with disabilities (PWDs), farmers, the LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual) sector, and other marginalized groups.

On June 30, Sen. Imee Marcos witnessed the AICS payout in various provinces of Region 11 where she also gave updates on the government’s agricultural programs and other services.

“Livelihood programs are very important especially since Davao Oriental is abundant in coconut products,” the senator said during the payout in Mati City, Davao Oriental, where she also donated PHP5 million for the city’s agriculture programs. (PNA)
