The province of Davao de Oro launched on Tuesday the “DDO iPortal”, a mobile application that features all provincial and other local government unit services that can be accessed online.

In a statement, the provincial government said the application seeks to ensure that no face-to-face interaction takes place in most government transactions.

“As the world currently experiences the pandemic, individuals worldwide start to embrace the new normal. The face-to-face interaction is now done virtually by applications available in the online world,” the provincial government said.

It said the “DDO iPortal” has nine major features making the Provincial Capitol accessible in just a single tap, which includes:

• The E-services that enable authorized employees to view and print daily time records. Authorized program coordinators can also track program fund utilization and document processing status.

• The Bayanihan Efforts for news updates and other initiatives led by the provincial government.

• The Serbisyo Oro Mismo!, the official online “teleradio” of the province where users can watch live news coverage or replay segments.

• The Emergency Hotlines, a hassle-free emergency response directory that allows users to dial their desired agency with just one tap while “Call DdOC”, an online consultancy linked to the official page of the four provincial hospitals and its official hotline numbers.

Government Orders which serves as a databank of all executive orders

• The Online Palengke, a virtual market that easily links consumers to suppliers and “Online Bagsakan” a virtual platform that directly links the farmers or producers to wholesalers.

• The Tourism and Investments will feature the scenic and landmark spots, dining accommodation, pasalubong centers, festivities, and other activities in Davao de Oro.

On top of these, the app also features a virtual map of Davao de Oro showcasing the various destinations in its 11 municipalities.

The application can now be downloaded for free at the Google Play Store. (PNA)
