Due to popular demand, an exclusive virtual masterclass and certificate course in Airbrush Make-Up Techniques for Screen and Media will be reran by the School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, in partnership with Temptu Philippines, one of the leading providers of state-of-the-art airbrush devices.
It will be conducted online on four Saturdays, February 18 and March 4, 11, and 18, 2023, with 24 hours of combined synchronous and asynchronous sessions.
Specially designed to train aspiring professional make-up artists for screen and media, the module aims to equip the participants with technical skills on its application. Students will be familiarized with the fundamentals, from the essential tools, proper assembling, operation and maintenance of the airbrush gun, to basic proper etiquettes as well as several major troubleshooting points.
They will likewise learn how to blend traditional cosmetics with the airbrush techniques, which will help them glam up their clients. This is for whether for a natural day-to-day look, special occasions for brides and grooms, high fashion or avant-garde approach ideal for editorial photography or runway functions.
The master certificate is complete with a business plan to ensure that the participants will be able to maximize their capabilities and opportunities and build and grow their respective careers.
Professionalism and skills enhancement, as well as marketing tips and strategies will be provided in the duration of the course.
The program will be facilitated by professional make-up artists Diana Kwong and Patricia Ting.
Kwong attended Beauty Make-up Artistry and Basic Airbrush Courses in Make-up Designory (MUD) Los Angeles and has completed Fashion Airbrushing at the Westmore Academy and Temptu Art of Contouring Airbrush Workshop in California. She has been working as a professional make-up artist for weddings, events, and photoshoots since 2008.
Ting, who likewise trained under MUD, is equipped with an outstanding record of client satisfaction and customer service. Her broad expertise ranges from make-up for studio and film to bridal, avant-garde, and high fashion. Her years of experience include stints at big affairs such as the Metrowalk Denim Fashion Show and Mr. and Ms. China Town.
The course is in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and Public Health Safety guidelines anti-COVID-19.
