On March 21, 2026, the stage comes alive with Super Star Kingdom, an internationally acclaimed fantasy stage play from Muse Arts Singapore, presented in partnership with Kidscelence Recital, bringing together celebrated theater performers and rising P-pop icons in one spectacular cross-border collaboration.

About the Show

Originally developed in Singapore, Super Star Kingdom follows a group of young dreamers who are transported into a magical realm where talent, courage, and self-belief determine one’s destiny. Set in a world ruled by music, rivalry, and hidden truths, the story explores the price of fame, the power of friendship, and the journey of discovering one’s true voice. Blending live vocals, dynamic choreography, and theatrical storytelling, the production offers a visually rich and emotionally driven experience that bridges pop culture and classical theatre.

Headlining the Philippine staging are Sophia Mercado and Sheki, marking major milestones in both artists’ careers as they take on their first international theater collaboration.

Sophia, one of the standout members of the P-pop group KAIA, makes her stage acting debut as Crystal. Trained in vocals, dance, and live performance through both KAIA and internationally renowned dance crew UPeepz, Sophia steps into musical theatre for the first time, blending pop star charisma with character-driven storytelling. Super Star Kingdom marks not only her first theatrical role but also her first international stage project.

Joining her is Sheki, who built her reputation as the leader of MNL48 and now continues her journey as a solo recording artist. In her return to the stage, Sheki takes on the role of Gilda, a character far removed from her own persona, allowing her to explore new emotional and dramatic territory. This production marks her first international theatre appearance and a
significant expansion of her artistry beyond the concert stage.

Completing the cast is a powerful lineup of seasoned performers:

  • Hazel Faith, acclaimed actress and P-pop Artist of the Decade (2025), who makes her highly anticipated return to acting after a pandemic hiatus, portraying the Host in her first international stage collaboration.
  • Cara Barredo, award-winning musical theatre actress and director with over three decades in the industry.
  • Chesko Rodriguez, a versatile stage and screen performer known for major roles in Philippine musical theatre and international theme park productions.
  • Gerhard “GK” Krysstopher, veteran host and musical theatre actor with credits from Atlantis Theatrical, PETA, Repertory Philippines, and more.

Kidscelence, a children’s activity learning center, joins the production as the official recital partner. Through its Stage Stars program, Kidscelence and Muse Arts will train young performers in singing and acting. Students will appear in Super Star Kingdom as part of the young ensemble, performing alongside P-pop artists and veteran theater actors. Producers from Muse Arts Singapore will be present during the recital and may handpick select students for future productions in Singapore.

Through its international roots in Singapore, its partnership with Kidscelence, and its dynamic Filipino cast, Super Star Kingdom celebrates the meeting of young talent, pop artistry, and professional theatre in one grand production.

The show will be staged on March 21, 2026, at St. Scholastica’s College Manila, promising audiences an unforgettable night of star power, fantasy, and live performance magic.

Students can still join the production via @kidscelence on Instagram.
