Numerous Korean stars released a tribute song for the second anniversary of Moon Bin’s passing.
On April 19, 2023, ASTRO’s Moon Bin was found unconscious by his manager in his home in Seoul after he failed to attend a scheduled rehearsal session. Seoul Gangnam Police investigated the scene and autopsy, ruling out foul play and stated that it was most likely due to suicide. He was buried a few days later; he was only 25 at the time of his passing.
Spearheaded by fellow ASTRO members, MJ, Cha Eunwoo and Sanha sang “Moon”, along with the late idol’s close friends in the industry.
Included in the line up are MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Kihyun, I.M.; all three members of VIVIZ, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Mingyu, Wonwoo, Seungkwan and DK; soloist Hello Gloom; SF9’s Chani; Former Weki Meki members, Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon; and Stray Kids’ leader, Bang Chan. And most especially, Moon Bin’s younger sister, Moon Sua from the girl group Billie.
It is not the first time a song has been dedicated in Moon Bin’s memory as SEVENTEEN’s Woozi released a studio recording of “What Kind of Future” due to the late idol’s affection for the track.
ASTRO is currently preparing for a concert with former member Rocky, however, dates have yet to be released.
