Sylvia Sanchez and Gela Atayde come together for an intimate conversation about their relationship as mother-and-daughter and their respective careers and personal struggles in the latest episode of Jeepney TV’s hostless talk show “Stars On Stars,” now uploaded on YouTube and Facebook.

When Sylvia asked Gela how would she rate her as a mother, Gela gave her a 100% rating.

She said, “100 doesn’t necessarily mean like you’re perfect. 100 because you give what you can with what you have. Kung ano’ng makakaya mo, ibibigay mo all the time. It’s 100 because I see that and I appreciate that.”

The two also talked about Gela’s inevitable entry to showbiz after being exposed to the industry at a young age and becoming her mom’s ‘buntot’ while Sylvia went to taping.

Sylvia, who worked together with Gela in the latter’s first TV project “Senior High,” expressed how proud she is of her daughter.

She told Gela, “Ako lang yung nag-open ng door sayo para makapasok ka. But isipin mo rin na nung hinakbang mo yung paa mo sa industriya, hindi na ako yun, Gela. Ikaw na yun. And I’m so proud of you na pinakita mo na kaya mo.”

Now, Gela is part of another ABS-CBN series, “High Street,” and on her way to prove herself. Recognizing her challenge as a nepo baby, she said, “We make the paths for ourselves. Kami na yung magpu-prove sa mga tao na we’re worthy of being in the industry.”

The loving mother-and-daughter also looked back on what’s been missing in their lives, particularly Sylvia’s—the chance to meet her father.

“Sa lahat ng mga narating ko, lahat meron ako. Isa lang ang hindi ko kayang bilhin, yakap ng tatay. Yes, gusto kong makita ang tatay ko, kung buhay pa siya. At kung patay na siya, gusto ko siyang puntahan. Gusto kong makita saan siya nilibing,” disclosed Sylvia who also appealed to contact her in case there is available information about her dad.
