Various cities in Negros Occidental, including this provincial capital, have set up one-stop shops for business permit applications and renewals this 2023 starting Tuesday.

In Bacolod, establishments have an option on how to process their mayor’s permit, whether online or manually, through the Business Permits and Licensing Division, the city government said in a statement.

Those who choose manual processing can be accommodated at the 4th floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., until Feb. 15.

Under the business-one-stop-shop or BOSS, government agencies needed to sign the business permits available in one location such as the Bureau of Fire Protection, City Health Office, Permits and Licensing Division, City Treasurer’s Office-Licensing Division, and City Planning and Development Office-Zoning Division.

Meanwhile, those who want to avail of the online processing can visit https://ebpls.bacolodcity.gov.ph

In Victorias, the Business Permits and Licensing Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until Jan. 6 and will set up the one-stop-shop at the CityMall Victorias from Jan. 9 to Feb. 15.

Through the facility, business permits application and renewal through the streamlined procedure is ensured through fast and efficient delivery of services under one roof provided by concerned offices and agencies.

Over at San Carlos, the province’s northernmost city, the Business Permits and Licensing Office also started the operations of its BOSS at the City Hall Annex building on Tuesday.

“Government offices were set up to cater to the different transactions of the public to provide convenient processing,” the city government said.

Being served are owners and operators of businesses such as restaurants, financing businesses, retailing, transportation, hotels, and other general merchandise.

Aside from the application and renewal of the mayor’s permit, services include tax payment and issuance of community tax certificates, and other business-related requirements. (PNA)
