The city government of Manila will join the start of general inoculation for minors aged 12 to 17 on Wednesday.
The pediatric vaccination to include even those without comorbidities will be held at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Ospital ng Maynila, and Sta. Ana Hospital from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As of 6 p.m. on October 29, a total of 3,474 minors with comorbidities have already received their first dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) jabs.
The city government suspended its mass vaccination from Saturday to Tuesday (Oct. 30 to Nov. 2).
Data from the Manila Public Information Office showed that as of Sunday, 51,551 from the 12 to 17 years age group have already registered for vaccination.
As for the adult population, 1,291,919 or 95.59 percent of the city’s target population are already fully vaccinated as of October 29.
Manila also logged 42 new infections to raise to 430 its active Covid-19 cases tally on Tuesday. (PNA)
