Apple recently denied Microsoft’s xCloud gaming app, which is something Xbox fanatics are not too happy about. Microsoft xCloud is a software platform that allows gamers to live-stream and play console-quality games across several devices.  After a long preparation, the app is most likely to launch next month but Apple unfortunately says no to this launch because it’s still in the TestFlight preview of iOS.

But despite this surprising news to a lot of gamers out there, Apple on the other hand approves of the Facebook Gaming app.  After months of waiting for Apple’s approval it has finally been approved last Friday after the company removed one of its two central features, the library of mobile games.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg in a recent statement to New York Times said that “unfortunately, we had to remove gameplay functionality entirely to get Apple’s approval on the stand-alone Facebook Gaming app. “

Apple’s making some aggressive steps in the gaming world due to the companies’ desire to not have a gaming title ship that might not function properly on an iPhone because of some system constraints. Apple’s stand in the gaming world may have a positive influence in the industry but their App store policies might cause a lack of development to the gamer-friendly game industry.

If Apple continues to block and deny gaming apps then they might have to enter the arena soon enough because it’s going to be a war between Apple and the gaming industry.
